Acquisitions of French water-treatment company Cielter and longtime Italian partner Enki® Water strengthen Kinetico’s local expertise, service capabilities and customer reach across two key European markets

NEWBURY TOWNSHIP, Ohio, Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Kinetico® Incorporated, a global leader in innovative water treatment solutions, acquired two established water treatment businesses in Europe: Cielter, a water treatment company serving residential and professional customers throughout northeastern France, and Enki® Water, Kinetico’s exclusive partner in Italy since 2012. The acquisitions reinforce Kinetico’s presence in two important European markets while growing its local expertise, customer relationships, distribution capabilities and service infrastructure.

Bolstering Kinetico’s French Operations
In France, the acquisition of Cielter increases Kinetico’s presence in the Grand Est region and northeastern France. Founded in 1972 and based in Reims, Cielter brings more than 50 years of water-treatment expertise and an established direct to consumer (D2C) customer base across residential, commercial, industrial and municipal markets.

Cielter distributes, installs and services water treatment systems, including water softeners, filtration and refining systems, reverse osmosis systems and water fountains. It also offers maintenance contracts, consumables and after-sales support for both its own equipment and systems from other brands.

Cielter will continue operating from Reims, with Frédéric Verson remaining as director. The Cielter and Kinetico teams will work together to build on the company’s local expertise, customer relationships and service capabilities while sharing knowledge and resources over time.

Expanding Kinetico’s Presence in Italy
Based in Bergamo, Enki Water has represented Kinetico in Italy since 2012, building a nationwide network of sales agencies, authorized technical service centers and distribution capabilities. The company was founded by Enrico Zanchi, whose relationship with Kinetico began in 2004.

Enki Water serves residential and commercial customers throughout Italy and operates as an established business to business (B2B) supplier to leading water treatment wholesalers. Its nationwide service network includes authorized technical service centers across Italy. The company’s product portfolio includes water softening, reverse osmosis, micro- and ultrafiltration, dosing and copper-silver ionization systems.

Enki Water will continue operating from its existing location in Bergamo, with Zanchi serving as managing director. Kinetico will build on the company’s existing commercial infrastructure, warehouse capabilities and service network while gradually introducing Kinetico systems, processes and best practices.
