SAN SIMEON ESTATE OPENS MODERN WINE AND CULINARY DESTINATION IN PASO ROBLES’ WILLOW CREEK DISTRICT
PR Newswire
PASO ROBLES, Calif., Oct. 27, 2026
The Riboli family’s new estate brings together limited-production wines, seasonal Central Coast dining and hospitality designed around each guest
PASO ROBLES, Calif., Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — San Simeon Estate announced today the opening of its highly anticipated tasting room located in Paso Robles’ acclaimed Willow Creek District, establishing a modern expression of land and sea for the premium California wine brand launched by the Riboli family in 1992. Set at the western edge of Willow Creek near Vineyard Drive and Peachy Canyon Road, the estate brings together exclusive wines from the family’s vineyards in Paso Robles and Monterey, chef-led dining, estate gardens and a modern ranch aesthetic shaped by the brand’s coastal heritage.
“San Simeon Estate is a reflection of our family’s passion for great wine, beautiful vineyards, and bringing people together,” said Steve Riboli, President and CEO of Riboli Family Wines. “We’ve put a lot of thought into creating a place where guests can slow down, enjoy exceptional wines and food, and experience the beauty of Paso Robles. We’re incredibly proud to open our doors and share this special place with everyone.”
A Modern Expression of Land and Sea
San Simeon Estate takes its name from the California coastline where ocean fog, coastal winds and marine-cooled vineyards helped shape the brand’s early identity. The estate translates that history into an aesthetic rooted in western Paso Robles. The design for San Simeon Estate was led by Interior Motives, a leading Central Coast interior design firm known for creating timeless spaces throughout California. The use of rich natural materials, artisan lighting and handcrafted finishes create a relaxing, immersive environment that invites guests to slow down, gather, and experience San Simeon Estate as a timely retreat.
The tasting room features indoor and outdoor tasting spaces that open toward the landscaping to seamlessly extend the architecture, creating a natural flow between the tasting room, gardens, and surrounding vineyards. At the center of the garden is a pond featuring a one-of-a-kind, 18-foot Poseidon sculpture commissioned by CEO Steve Riboli as a reference to San Simeon’s Pacific heritage and iconic trident logo. The result feels polished without becoming formal as guests are invited to move through the property, enjoy the gardens and experience the San Simeon story beyond the tasting glass.
A Culinary Program Woven Through the Visit
Chef Justin Lewis leads a culinary program integrated throughout the estate, letting guests pair wine with small seasonal plates or guided pairings wherever they choose to sit. Sustainability guides decisions across the wine and food programs, from vineyard farming and local sourcing to estate-grown ingredients. The menu traces the Central Coast from sea to ranch, highlighting Morro Bay seafood, artisan pasta, ranch-raised meats, estate olive oil, and produce and herbs from the estate’s gardens. The San Simeon Burger reinterprets a familiar part of the property’s former identity, honoring the site’s local history while reflecting its new culinary direction. Planned programming includes weekend brunch, private dinners, family-style
gatherings and rotating culinary events. Menus will evolve throughout the year based on seasonal availability.
The Central Coast in One Place
San Simeon Winery produces wines from the Riboli family’s estate vineyards in Monterey and Paso Robles; all farmed under the family’s commitment to sustainability. The estate sits among CCOF Certified Organic vineyards and holds Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing certification for both the vineyard and winery. In addition to a portfolio that brings together coastal Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with bold Cabernet Sauvignon, several new and exclusive tiers of San Simeon wines will be poured in the new tasting room. The Reserve portfolio features nine wines, from vibrant whites and rosé to expressive reds and blends, showcasing the diversity of the Central Coast. A future addition, the Augustus series will feature four red blends highlighting the distinctive character of Willow Creek. The Augustus series takes its name from the ship on which Riboli family matriarch Maddalena traveled from Italy to the United States in 1931. Wave-inspired label details connect her journey to San Simeon’s coastal identity. Working closely with Anthony Riboli, winemaker Brian Benson leads the estate wine program, drawing from three Willow Creek properties and a growing range of Bordeaux varieties.
“Our Reserve portfolio is an opportunity to showcase the diversity of wines we can produce here on the Central Coast,” said Anthony Riboli, fourth-generation winemaker at Riboli Family Wines. “From bright, expressive whites and rosé to rich, structured reds, each wine has its own personality and reflects the care and attention we put into every step of the winemaking process. We want guests to discover something new and experience the quality and craftsmanship behind every bottle.”
Hospitality Designed Around the Guest
San Simeon Estate approaches hospitality with the same care applied to its wines, pairings, and the land. The new tasting room has been thoughtfully designed for the modern wine consumer, casual or seasoned. The focus is on experiences, ranging from seaside-inspired culinary experiences to private guided tastings and vineyard tours. Wine flights are available throughout the estate rather than being confined to a formal tasting area. When a table is not immediately available, new guests receive a welcome pour and seasonal bite as they are invited to explore the gardens until the team can seat them.
“There are no walk-ins here, only new guests,” said Josh Messina, General Manager of San Simeon Estate and sister property Jada Vineyard & Winery. “We learn what interests each person, then build the visit around it. A great deal of thought goes into every detail, so that the guest experience itself feels approachable and easy.”
The property is approximately 15 minutes from downtown Paso Robles and within easy reach of Cambria and Highway 1, making it a natural destination for visitors exploring wine country and the coast. San Simeon Estate also sits near sister property Jada Vineyard & Winery, offering visitors two distinct Riboli family estate experiences within the Willow Creek District. Reservations are encouraged, and new guests without reservations are welcome as space allows. For current hours, tasting and culinary experiences, and reservations, visit SanSimeonWines.com.
